刘恒意医学博士(Henry Liu, M.D.): 1978-1983同济医学院医学系. 1983-1986: 同济医学院外科硕士研究生. 1986-1990: 同济医学院协和外科住院总医师, 讲师, 主治医师. 1991-1993: 美国宾夕法尼亚大学研究学者. 1994-1998: 美国哥仑比亚大学和马里兰大学外科学和麻醉学住院医师. 1998-2000: 美国犹他大学麻醉学助理教授. 2000-2001: EMORY大学从事心血管麻醉和经食道B超. 2001-2008: 美国西杰佛逊医学中心麻醉科副主任. 2009至今: 美国TULANE大学麻醉系心血管外科麻醉主任, 麻醉学副教授, 科研副主任(主管临床和实验研究及国际交流). 曾担任同济医科大学北美校友会主席(2001-2002), 美国犹他州华人联谊会副主席(1998-2000), 美国ESP Biopharma公司和Protein Design Laboratories公司产品发言人(2003-2008). 现任美国路易司安纳州华人联合会主席(2008-2009), 亚太协会(APAS)执行理事, 全美华人麻醉医师协会(CASA) 执行理事, 华中科技大学同济医学院海外校友总会主席(2010), 美国EKR Therapeutics医药研发顾问. Henry Liu’s self introduction

Dr. Henry Liu graduated from Tongji Medical College in 1983, earned MD, and then he stayed in Tongji Medical College for graduate study in surgery at Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College. After completion of his graduate study, he joined the faculty of Department of Surgery, Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College as attending surgeon and lecture-in-surgery. Henry Liu moved to USA in late 1990, worked as a research scientist at the Harrison Department of Surgical Research, University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. He started his clinical training in USA in 1994 as an Intern in Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York. He finished his anesthesiology residency training in 1998 at University of Maryland, Baltimore, Maryland. Then Dr. Henry Liu joined the faculty of Department of Anesthesiology University of Utah Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology. Then he had Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology/Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) fellowship training at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia. He started private practice at West Jefferson Medical Center, Louisiana in 2001, he served as the Education Director of Parish Anesthesia Associates. Tulane University Medical Center recruited Dr. Henry Liu in 2009 as the Director of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia, Associate Director of Research and Associate Professor of Anesthesiology. Henry was the Chief Executive Officer of Gasliu Corporation (2002-2009) and current President of Hemaxon Enterprises, LLC (2008-present). Dr. Henry Liu is one of the founding members of TJMCOAA and serves as its President’2010. He served as the Vice President of United Chinese American Association of Utah when he was in Utah. He is also the current president of Louisiana Chinese American Society (LACAS). Dr. Henry Liu serves in the Board of Directors in the following organizations: APAS (Asian Pacific American Society), CASA (Chinese American Society of Anesthesiologists) and TJMCOAA. Henry was listed in Global Who’s Who in 2007, 2010 and Marquis Who’s Who in 2008, 2009. Dr. Henry Liu was a promotional speaker for ESP Biopharma (New Jersey, 2002-2006) and Protein Design Laboratories (California, 2005-2008). He serves as consultant for Alexion Pharmaceuticals (Connecticut，1993-1996) and EKR Therapeutics (New Jersey, 2008--present). Academically Dr. Henry Liu has over 20 peer-reviewed publications in professional journals.
