This year’s Nobel Physics winners all have Harvard degree

Harvard graduates sweep this year’s Nobel Laureates in Physics, among three winners one went to Harvard undergraduate and two had Harvard PhD. Yesterday’s Nobel Prize for Medicine, one with Harvard’s MD and one with U Chicago’s MD.

 

2011 Nobel Physics:

 

Saul Perlmutter: Harvard undergraduate, UC Berkeley PhD

Brian P. Schmidt: U Arizona, Harvard's Master and PhD

Adam G. Riess: MIT undergraduate, Harvard PhD

 

2011 Nobel Medicine:

 

Ralph Steinman: McGill Undergraduate, Harvard MD

Bruce Beutler: UCSD undergraduate (graduated at age of 18), U Chicago’s MD
